Pictured below at El Tepual Airbase at Puerto Montt, Chile is MSN 7. This aircraft was delivered in 1966 as FACh 935 and was damaged beyond economical repair in 1998. Subsequent to that, it was repaired to non flyable status, repainted as FACh 931 and became a static display at the El Tepual Air Base in Puerto Montt.

340 - DHC-6-300 C-FTFX Summit Air, Yellowknife, NT

Back on 22-Dec-2018 I questioned where C-FTFX actually is (having been ferried via Panama City during Nov-2018) - and below is our answer. The aircraft has been delivered to Antarctica where it is operating on contract to White Desert Antarctica as seen in the photo below.

A great shot of the Four Seasons DHC-6-300 HB-LYC at Altenrhein/St. Gallen earlier this month, with credit to Roland Büsser.

An interesting history for MSN 655, delivered to Nepal Airlines in 1979 - it was damaged twice in hard landings in 1997 and 2002, and then parked in Kathmandu from 2002 to 2012. The aircraft joined Tara Air in 2012, and was damaged again twice that same year. In 2016 it was ferried to Switzerland in preparation for delivery to Island Aviation Services in the Maldives, arriving there in Oct-2016. A year later it would again be damaged on 04-Oct-2017 when it ended up inverted and submerged in the lagoon at Male Int’l. Airport.

The wreckage was transported back to Switzerland again, and it was registered to Zimex Aviation on 25-Oct-2018.

Such is the life of your average Twin Otter …….
